"One Piece" is a comic TV series about treasure-hunting and adventure on
the high-seas. It is also a rather vex-object-rich environment, as it
mainly consists of scuffles between rival pirate clans, each with its
own distinctive flag.

Eugene Ipavec, 5 may 2005
His flag shows a grinning skull and two hourglasses.
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
Their flag (they are a syndicate) shows a skull above crossed rapiers and pair of
wings.
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
His flag shows a skull in left-facing profile and
pink heart.
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
His flag shows a stylized red swordfish over saltire of crossed bones.

A pennant of the same design
is used on land by his raiding parties.

I think those are
supposed to be flower petals.
Eugene Ipavec, 18 july 2005
Their ship is
called "The Black Cat".

The ensign of Captain Lufy's pirates, the series' protagonists.
Eugene Ipavec, 5 may 2005
Eugene's image is slightly different from the
screencapture I had in my to-do folder, which
was sent to the list by J. Patrick Fischer: The hat is 3D and the nose is round - this same flag
probably shows differently in different scenes of the film, and as such
irrelevant. Note however different translations of the original Japanese
name, Ruffy and Lufy.
António Martins-Tuválkin, 8 april 2006
Regarding the transliteration issues, the spelling the
producers of the English version seem to have settled on is "Luffy,"
while several other names seem to have been randomly changed: "Shank" is
in the original "Slash," while "Crusher" was changed to "Cutter."
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
The ensign of Captain Shank's pirates.
Eugene Ipavec, 5 may 2005
"Captain" Ussop's pirates (not an actual pirate,
just has an overactive imagination. Still flies a flag though).
Eugene Ipavec, 18 july 2005
His flag shows a golden-crowned skull with metal lower jaw.
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
His flag is a typical pirate flag with a large white mustache.
Eugene Ipavec, 9 april 2006
The houseflag of the Dolphin Line, one of whose
passenger ships gets pillaged in the first episode.
Eugene Ipavec, 5 may 2005
The Navy. Of some state, presumably, though the series
does not specify which. White pennant with a symbol of some kind in
navy blue.
Eugene Ipavec, 5 may 2005
Presumably a "Mary
had a little lamb" reference.
